The full version of Horizon Forbidden West arrives on PC on March 21

The PC version will be managed by Nixxes Software, the Sony-owned studio that previously worked on PC versions of first-party PlayStation games such as Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for PC comes two years after the initial release of the main game on PS4 and PS5 in 2022, in line with Sony's PC release timeline for its exclusive games.

In a PlayStation Blog post on January 25, Nixxes Software announced PC features and pre-order details for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition. The game will come with unlocked frame rates, a range of customizable graphics settings, support for Nvidia DLSS 3 upscaling and frame generation, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS for improved performance. The blog added that the game takes advantage of DirectStorage for fast loading times on PC.

Additionally, Horizon Forbidden West on PC will support Ultra Wide resolutions, including Ultra Wide 21:9, Ultra Wide 32:9, and 48:9 - for extreme ultra-wide - with compatibility with triple monitor setups.

As always, fully customizable mouse and keyboard controls will be supported, as well as controllers, and the PlayStation DualSense controller will get the added benefit of adaptive triggers and haptic feedback for an immersive gaming experience.

The full version of the game also gets additional content on PC, including additional costumes, weapons and in-game resource packs, among other goodies, and Nixxes said it will reveal details about the game's system requirements on PC in the coming weeks.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition was released on October 6, 2023 on PS5, and in May last year, developers Guerilla Games confirmed that the game had sold 8.4 million copies, as of April 16, on PS5 and PS4.
