New Chrome shortcuts allow your phone to call a restaurant from the address bar.. Details

Google has added a new Chrome Actions feature to mobile devices that will let you call, read reviews, or get directions to a restaurant or other establishment, all from the address bar. The company announced the new feature in a blog post today

Android users will see this new feature immediately, but iOS users will have to wait until the fall

Google Actions, first announced in 2020, lets you quickly perform tasks from the address bar by typing specific queries, such as “edit passwords,” “delete history,” or “translate this page.”

It's also one of the few address bar shortcuts offered by Google , like the "@" shortcut that lets you quickly find bookmarks, tabs, and links from your history

Along with the new Chrome Actions, Google has also added a few other Chrome updates, including live sports cards in Chrome's Discover feed. This feature allows iOS and Android users to receive automatic updates about their favorite sports teams and can be customized. Additionally, iOS users will now also see popular search suggestions in their Chrome address bar when they tap it from the New Tab page
