Everything you need to know about Apple's AI-powered emojis

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that AI-generated emojis will be among the new features Apple will show off at WWDC next month. Since the current emoji library wasn't overwhelming enough, Gurman wrote that the company is "developing software that can create... Customize emojis on the fly, based on what users text."

Apple is also said to be working on this so that iPhone users will have more customization options for their apps and home screen, such as the ability to change the color of app icons and the arrangement of things more freely, rather than being restricted to a grid layout, and the latter in particular would be a big change. Very Apple, but certainly a welcome one for any user who's been itching to get more creative with their home screen designs

There's been a lot of talk about Apple's AI plans in the run-up to its annual developers conference, which starts on June 10, but rather than anything too flashy at this point, Gorman suggests Apple will stick to practical applications for the technology

Apple is expected to announce a partnership with OpenAI, and according to Gorman, it may give an AI boost to things like Safari searches, Siri, photo retouching, and voice memo transcription. The company may also offer smart summaries of notifications, web pages, and more
