Nintendo is making it easy for gamers to keep their Nintendo Switch consoles charged and ready to go, and the easiest way to charge Joy-Cons is to plug them into your Switch and plug your console into a power outlet.

How to charge Joy-Cons
If you're using the Joy-Con Grip as your primary Nintendo Switch controller, it'll drain your battery life before you know it.
Fortunately, there are several ways you can charge them. The easiest way to charge Joy-Con controllers does not require any additional cables, accessories, or rack space:
Step 1: With the switch turned on, connect the Joy-Con controllers to either side of the controller until they press. You should see an on-screen notification showing that they're connected.
Step 2: Make sure the Switch dock or AC adapter is plugged into a power outlet, plug the Switch plug into the USB-C port on the bottom of the Switch or place the Switch into the docking station.
Step 3: Put your Nintendo Switch into “sleep” mode by pressing the power button on the top, Joy-Con controllers will not charge if the Switch is completely turned off
