Bitcoin prices increased by 2.66% in the past 24 hours


Bitcoin prices rose today, Monday, December 4, by 2.66%, bringing the value of the most expensive cryptocurrency to $40,578, the highest price point of 2023, according to CoinMarketCap.

The “Ether” currency recorded a growth of 2.53% today, Monday, at the time of writing this report. The value of ETH reached about $2214, as the price of Ether rose by $125.

“Bitcoin has reached its highest price point to date since April 2022 for the first time, and traders are expected to be cautious in taking profits, as historically, December usually represents a local high/low for cryptocurrencies,” CoinSwitch Markets Desk said.

Other cryptocurrencies trading on the gains side today include Ripple, Cardano, Tron, Polygon, and Litecoin.

Shiba Inu, Bitcoin Cash, Cosmos, Stellar, Near Protocol, and Elrond also had slight gains.

The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has risen by 2.76% in the past 24 hours and currently stands at $1.52 trillion, according to CoinMarketCap. This represents the highest valuation the cryptocurrency market has reached this year.
