OpenAI 's AI chatbot , has launched on Android after being available to iOS users for two months. The Android version of the app will be rolled out in phases and will initially be open to users in the US, India, Bangladesh and Brazil.
OpenAI is looking to expand the app to more countries over the next week. ChatGPT for Android is available for free, but OpenAI is offering an optional subscription to access better large language model ( GPT-4 ) and additional features, according to gadgets360 .
The ChatGPT Android app is available for download through the Google Play Store and is compatible with devices running Android 6.0 or later. The app is now available in the US, Bangladesh, Brazil and India and OpenAI plans to expand the app to other countries over the next week.

1- Those who have not previously registered in the application can head to the Google Play Store and download it, its size is 6MB, only users who have pre-registered will need to update the application from the store and this is a small download.
2- Head to the ChatGPT Android app page of the Google Play Store .
3- Press the Install button and wait for the app to download and install. If you are not already signed in, open the app and enter your Google ID and password when prompted.
4- Other users can enter existing credentials.
5- Once done, you can access all the features available in the desktop version of ChatGPT .
Android app brings chat history and sync support. Users can sign up for a free account although they have the option to access the paid GPT-4 model .
ChatGPT has been exclusive to Apple 's iOS since its initial launch in May 2023. The AI-based chatbot gained fame in the tech world shortly after it was launched to the public in November last year. Users can create textual content on ChatGPT by entering queries and prompts . The platform uses artificial intelligence ( AI ) to provide users with personalized answers, advice, and input.
