Meta unveils Quest 3 mixed reality glasses.. Know the full details

 

Days before Apple unveiled its xReality mixed reality headset, Mark Zuckerberg , CEO of Facebook's parent company, announced Quest 3 - the company's next-generation virtual and mixed reality device. The new device is said to feature higher resolution, stronger performance and Meta Reality technology. cutting edge, slimmer profile and more ergonomic form factor 
According to its official blog, Meta said Quest 3 will ship in all countries where Meta Quest is currently supported this fall. The 128GB headset will start at $499.99, and the company said it will "offer an additional storage option for those who want some extra space." The company has announced that it will be sharing more information regarding the headset at Meta Connect, which will take place on September 27th.
The Meta said the Quest 3 gets the company's top notch display and pancake optics to make content look even better than before, and under the hood, the headset gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset that's claimed to offer more than twice the graphical performance as the previous-generation Snapdragon GPU in the Quest 2.
Quest 3 gets Meta Reality technology that essentially understands and responds to objects in physical space and allows users to navigate that space in natural ways. Other features include high-resolution color traversal, machine learning, and the spatial understanding required to interact with virtual content and the physical world simultaneously
And it makes the Quest 3 Meta Reality available to more people at a lower price, making it the first major offering on the market to offer cutting-edge VR and MR experiences in a single device, setting a new standard for future headsets. Meta claims that the Quest 3 is a 40% thinner optical form factor. Compared to Quest 2, it gets redesigned Touch Plus controllers
Also new is the TruTouch touch technology that debuted in the Touch Pro. All Quest 2 games are playable on Quest 3
The Meta is also lowering the price of the Quest 2 headset that launched in 2020. Starting June 4, the Quest 2 will be available for $299.99 for the 128GB model and $349.99 for the 256GB variant.
