Windows 11 will let you know the password of saved Wi-Fi networks

Microsoft is currently testing a new option in Windows 11 that allows users to know the passwords for Wi-Fi networks previously saved on the computer

Microsoft allows this feature for the first time on the Windows system, as it was not available at any previous time, and it was not possible to know the password of saved Wi-Fi networks easily and directly from within the system itself, according to aitnews

Users who want to know the passwords saved in the Windows system still depend on downloading external programs that allow them to do so, or searching in the Windows Registry file , if the user has a higher level of experience with the system

Users may need to know Wi-Fi passwords in order to share them with others, or when they are forgotten over time

And in the latest beta version of Windows 11 known as Windows 11 Insider Preview , Microsoft gave us an easy and direct way to find out the passwords of Wi-Fi networks saved earlier. (Of course, this does not include displaying passwords for protected traffic networks that have not been previously connected) .

To find out the password for any saved Wi-Fi network on Windows 11, the user will have to go to Settings , then click on Network & Internet , then choose Wi  -Fi , and under the “Manage Wi-Fi Connections” section , all Wi-Fi networks to which the device has connected in the past .

From the list of displayed networks, you can choose the desired Wi-Fi network, then press the “View Wi-Fi security key” button , so that the password is displayed in copyable text form

This feature will be available in the coming months along with other features of Windows 11 such as the new artificial intelligence assistant Windows Copilot , and other long-awaited features such as opening compressed files in RAR format without the need to download additional programs, as well as the forced closing of stuck applications directly without the task manager, and others .
