RuStore, the Russian app store, announced that the store had acquired a large number of programs, including foreign ones.
On the subject, Ilya Ulyanov, Director of the Partnerships Department at RuStore, said: “Our application store for Android systems has received a lot of new programs and applications, including foreign ones, according to the RT report.
He added, "More than 4,000 publishers and developers of applications have joined the store, and the store now contains many foreign applications such as applications of the Likee network competing for TikTok, which were developed by the Singaporean company BIGO Technology. We promise that the store's applications will increase significantly in the near future."
According to Mediascope Cross Web statistics, RuStore applications were used by 7% of mobile application users in Russia last February, and last March the number of applications downloaded from this store exceeded 18 million times.
The new RuStore store for applications was developed by a group of Russian companies led by the company responsible for the Russian “VK” social network, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, and integrated into this store security systems developed by Kaspersky Lab to supervise that all applications in it are free of malware.
